Finding A Serial Number

Server systems

• 

  Rack-mountable Systems' Serial Number is located at the rear side by I/O panel

• 

  Embedded Systems' Serial Number is located on the I/O panel

Motherboards

• 

  The Serial Number is located below the bar code on the sticker which contains manufacturing country. Generally it is located near the centre of the motherboard however some motherboards have the serial number located near the edge of the motherboard

Chassis

• 

  You can find the chassis serial number located on side of chassis by the sliding rail

• 

  The 4U Tower Chassis serial number sticker is located on the bottom side of the system

Blade systems

• 

  The blade serial number is located on the side of the system

Memory modules

• 

  Memory module serial number sticker is located on the right side of the module

Power supplies

• 

  Serial and Part Numbers for Power Supplies are shown here. You will need to remove the chassis lid or the power supply module to gain access to the serial number

• 

  Location of the sticker may differ (left or right side)

• 

  Power Distributor serial number sticker is located as shown here

Hard drives

• 

  Serial number location is on Hitachi hard drives

• 

  Serial number location is on Seagate hard drives

• 

  Serial number location is on Western Digital hard drives
